Liam Shotwell
SaaS Content Writer
I’ve been writing professionally since 2019, but my passion for learning, creating, and problem solving is in my blood. My dad’s wireless Internet business run off our backyard radio mast was only the beginning of my interest in entrepreneurship and technology. Meanwhile, my mom’s empathy and passion for people and animals kept me rooted in the most important part of what connects us together: our humanity.
When I first went to college, I originally wanted to be a professional trumpet player. Perhaps that’s not entirely out of the cards. I play with the Marion Palace Theater Big Band a few times a year, as well as the Marion Concert Band. In High School, I performed with the Mansfield Youth Symphonic Orchestra and won their concerto competition and Eddie Chiudioni Award in 2017. However, I decided I needed to branch out. Inspired by my sister, a published author, I graduated as an English major with a Writing Rhetoric and Literacy concentration from the Ohio State University in 2021. I minored in Music, Media, and Enterprise.
Sometime between 2019 and 2020, I started helping out David Payette and David Lynch at Payette Forward, a B2C-focused business passionate about helping people with cell phones and cell phone plans. They introduced me to WordPress and SEO writing, to which I am forever grateful. That eventually landed me a partnership with MobiDev, a B2B software development firm in Ukraine. I’ve been working with them and several other clients ever since. Recently, I’m dedicated to continuing to improve my knowledge of the more technical side of publishing content online, especially in learning how to self-host open source software in Docker and using Linux systems. I leverage all these different experiences to give me an advantage in helping SaaS and IT businesses achieve their goals through high quality content and SEO strategy.
